Wellness and Beauty Sauna “De Woudfennen” in the Frisian town of Joure will let you experience what maximum enjoyment is. A variety of Finnish saunas, indoors and outdoors are available and there are Roman Baths with a steam bath, whirlpool, herbal temple and the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Perhaps you would prefer to relax in the solarium sauna with the specific light treatment. You can sunbathe in the summer months in the gardens or perhaps in the winter; roll in the thick winter snow. The catering department knows how to provide a culinary delight; be it something to drink, a snack, light lunch or a complete dinner.

Our beauty and massage facilities are in complete harmony with the use of the sauna and Roman Baths. Obviously offers are available in a variety of prices and we only use renowned products and experienced specialists.

Restaurant and Relaxation Area

During your stay in the sauna and Roman Baths you can make comfortable use of our restaurant and relaxation area. The large relaxation area with a fireplace and comfortable seating is a place where you can rest after a beneficial sauna session. Here you can enjoy delicious fresh fruit juices, a cup of coffee or something else. The relaxation area is split into two separate areas: smoking and non-smoking.

It is also possible to enjoy an extended meal in our restaurant in between the sauna sessions. Or if you prefer to enjoy something smaller, a variety of choices are available. We provide an extensive menu to satisfy everyone’s taste. In the event that you require a special diet our chef will prepare a delicious meal to satisfy your needs.
