In the summer or in the winter ours is the right address for a complete day of relaxation. In the winter you can feel wonderfully warm in one of our sauna rooms, indoors or outdoors, and in the summer you can delightfully relax on one of our lounge chairs in the beautifully laid out gardens. Now and then a dip in the outdoor swimming pool or delicious refreshment from the kitchen will make the day complete.

A couple of hours or a whole day out with friends, family, and partners or alone is always pure indulgence here.

The Wellness and Beauty centre “De Woudfennen” and our hotel “Country Rose”, are located in the countryside surrounded by lakes in the area of natural beauty “De Woudfennen” and conveniently next to the A7 motorway. A beneficial sauna can be taken in combination with a special beauty offer and of course staying overnight in our hotel.

After a day of pleasurable relaxation you can walk in your bathrobe to your hotel room….

The ambiance of hospitality in surroundings where you will enjoy having a day out and yet still feel at home.   

Several saunas and steam rooms are available with various temperatures and humidity. In this way each room has its own sauna climate. Like the solarium sauna which is situated next to the 80˚C bone-dry sauna, where the slightly higher humidity provides a pleasant warmth. The subtle light therapy used gives a vitalising effect to both body and mind.

Five saunas are situated in the beautifully laid out gardens. One of the saunas is the cave sauna; a hot and dry sauna based on the ancient idea from Finland: dig a whole in the ground, cover with twigs and place hot stones in the middle. During the winter months the traditional Lőyly ritual is held here.

The Finnish Lőyly is the ritual pouring of a large amount of cold water onto hot stones whereby the humidity of the sauna room increases to a high level. This creates the effect that the contact temperature with the skin feels higher and you may even get goosebumps from the warmth.

After a sauna session it is possible to relax in a mud bath or enjoy a facial treatment; the beauty salon offers an assortment of personal hygiene treatments. Besides the numerous facial and body treatments we can offer you various massages, such as hot stone, foot zone reflex massage, and of course, sport and relaxation massages. In order to make your choice easier when organising your day of self-indulgence we have complied various special offers. Obviously you may also create your own combination of activities.
